The Novak Consulting Group is seeking a skilled communicator with contemporary design and social media marketing skills to work in our Cincinnati office.

We’re a local government consulting firm in Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition to our core staff in Cincinnati, we have full-time, senior consultants in the metropolitan areas of Washington, DC and the Raleigh-Durham Triangle. Our full-time team is supplemented by subject matter experts in other geographic areas.

What does a Multi-Media Marketing Specialist do?

  • Designs, writes, and edits a variety of printed material including brochures, flyers, newsletters, reports, infographics, proposals, and other collateral materials
  • Drafts proposals for local government consulting services
  • Reviews leads and recommends proposal opportunities to Practice Leaders
  • Creates marketing collateral and recruitment brochures using InDesign or similar
  • Designs and posts updates to our company website
  • Develops a blog that shares success stories – both ours and our clients
  • Develops and plans social media marketing posts
  • Helps us promote the good work our clients are doing around the country
  • Handles electronic and print media activities
  • Researches and creates timely and relevant internal and external communications for distribution through appropriate media
  • Coordinates in-house and outside publication processes
  • Maintains knowledge of current programs and trends in marketing and assists with administrative duties

The ideal candidate will have a degree in Public Relations, Communications, Journalism or a related field and marketing and design expertise. Some experience will be helpful along with a passion for public service and a belief that government can be great.

Ideal candidates will have knowledge of industry standard journalistic style and graphic design used to prepare varied communication materials that are relevant, accurate, and comprehensive; project coordination of how to develop, plan, organize, implement, and monitor projects to completion; graphic design principles and layout techniques; social networking channels for communication.
