Associate The Novak Consulting Group is searching for a new team member in our Organizational Assessment Practice. This is a great opportunity for a local government professional to learn about and have impact on all facets of local government functions – from accounting to zoos! Who are we? We’re a local government consulting firm in Cincinnati, Ohio. In addition to our core staff in Cincinnati, we have full-time, senior consultants in the metropolitan areas of Washington, DC and the Raleigh-Durham Triangle. Our full-time team is supplemented by subject matter experts in other geographic areas. What does a TNCG Associate do? Associates fill a variety of roles – sometimes being the lead consultant working with an Analyst and our Organizational Assessment Practice leader, and other times being part of a large team working with Subject Matter Experts. Our Associates have the ability and the confidence to assess complex and sometimes ambiguous local government service delivery problems and frame practical plans for improvement. They are excellent writers and can communicate effectively with employees from every stratum of a local government. They also travel approximately 30-50% of the time. An Associate’s typical responsibilities include: Staffing and workload analysis Data analytics Recommendation development Report writing Client presentations Who is the ideal TNCG Associate? The intellectually curious The naturally analytical Brings a skill set that complements our senior consultants An independent worker who is productive even without constant or immediate supervision Has experience or certification in Lean and/or Six Sigma process improvement methodologies The ideal candidate has a master’s degree in public administration or related field and significant local government experience (five to ten years) who is interested in broadening their impact on local governments through consulting.
